New Day!

Relocating is such a strange thing. Well, atleast it is in my case. The first time I decided to move abroad, I went out in a grand style. I went to Russia. Although the Russia of today is far different from the former communist Soviet Union, the country is still not a popular destination of any first time expat. But like what a fellow Aquarian told me succinctly, we water bearers must have a built-in gene for adventurism. So I packed my bags last year and flew to Russia, and we are not talking about the moneyed and modern cosmospolitan, Imperial Moscow either. Oh no, I had to make things extra spicy by moving to the Russia’s middle of nowhere—Siberia. No, it was not a one way trip to the Gulag, but it seemed pretty close for a urbanized, completely citified girl like me. Suffice to say, it was one of the most interesting and intense experience I ever had in my life. I could never forget Russia.

So now, a year later, I am once again literally walking on new land. I am thousand of miles away from home for the second straight year, and I have two suitcases in my cousin’s “cozy” studio to prove it. This time, I decided to be more conservative and moved to another big city here in the Midwest instead of some exotic place like--I don't know--Alaska? Personally, cold weather doesn’t appeal to me, and I am not really pleased that the weather is once again below 70F.

So begins another chapter of my life. I guess it would be nice if you guys can share it with me.
